Philadelphia 11 Film Screening

  • St. Paul's Indy 6050 North Meridian Street Indianapolis, IN 46208 United States (map)

Saturday, March 2, doors open at 12:45 p.m.; screening at 1:30 p.m., St. Paul’s Indy, Sanctuary

Co-sponsored by St. Paul’s, All Saints’, St. Timothy’s and Nativity, all are invited to a free film screening featuring The Philadelphia Eleven. This compelling new movie tells the inspiring story of the first 11 women to become priests in the Episcopal Church, and of the communities of support that made this act of sacred justice possible. After the movie (approximate runtime 90 minutes), we'll celebrate where we've been and where we're going as a church with a service of Holy Eucharist. The Rev. Jackie Means (first woman ordained priest in the Diocese of Indianapolis) will celebrate; the Rev. Yuri Rodriguez (the most recently ordained female priest in the Diocese of Indianapolis) will preach. Snacks will be served between the film and the service. Questions, click here to email the Rev. Beth Scriven.
