Faith in Action/Outreach Update :: MLK Lay Clergy Group Meeting
The MLK Lay Clergy Group met on Tuesday, July 17 to further discuss its housing initiative. The Congregation Education Group reported that a flyer is being produced for all churches. The group also reported that the production of a video, describing the housing initiative and its impact, will begin in the fall.
The Transitional Housing Support Group recently met with The Mustard Seed, a Fishers nonprofit organization that operates a “furniture bank” for Hoosiers in Central Indiana that need it most.
The Neighborhood Education and Advocacy Group reported on their recent meeting with School 43’s principal and community liaison. They are developing plans for an MLK family information and dinner night, tentatively scheduled for mid-September
