Fall 2021 Grant Recipients
It is our pleasure to announce that FJA Artist Grants in the amount of $25,000 have been awarded to each of the following artists. Click on the artists' name for details about their specific projects.

Marc Bessiake / Project focus: Abelism
Clare Longendyke / Project focus: Injustice
Twenty-eight submissions were received between Sept. 1 – Nov. 1, 2021. The committee was excited by the creativity of the artists, and due to the caliber of the proposals, ultimately decided to combine two granting periods and award three grants. FJA also received an anonymous donation for $15,000, giving us $75,000 total to grant.
St. Paul’s Faith Justice & the Arts (FJA) committee grant program was developed by parishioner Jim Luce and modeled after the Arts Council of Indianapolis’ Emerging Artist Fellowship Program. Our grant program asks artists to propose ideas that incorporate the FJA mission – “use diverse artistic collaborations to awaken, inspire and empower communities to strive for justice and peace among all peoples.”
