Sunday, January 12, during 9 a.m. service

The Deep Dive course completes requirements for those seeking confirmation or to be received in the Episcopal Church, but it is also intended for anyone who wants to dive deeper into their faith.

Youth Deep Dive was a seven-part course in which five St. Paul’s students participated - led by Bruce Edelen, Shane Hatchett, Stacey Hennessy, Jim Williams and Laurie Pierce. The group engaged with Jewish and Muslim students, exchanging faith perspectives and knowledge. They helped neighbors with yard work and in their houses, explored The Book of Common Prayer and discussed different prayer practices and faith journeys. They also baked communion bread to share. Please continue to pray for the following students and their faith journey: Hope D, Elaina M, Celia S, Daniel S & Livia W. Click here to email Laurie Pierce with questions or to learn more.

Adult Deep Dive, a class led by the Rev. Beth Scriven, had ten participants. This group began their journey in a shared session with the youth, then met for an additional six weeks of discussion exploring how Episcopalians approach belief, the Bible, prayer and The Book of Common Prayer, acting for justice and peace and our baptismal promises - concluding with an opportunty to share faith stories. Please continue to pray for the following adults and their faith journey: Rusty Broxterman, Eva Collins, Jacob Denning, Fred Duncan, Jennifer Dunlap, Jim Luce, Mariah Murray, Matt Richards, Wes Robinson and Anne Waswo.
