The Rev. John Denson, D.Min.
As Rector, my primary responsibility is to work with the vestry (our governing board) to discern and facilitate our parish mission as followers of Jesus Christ. In that role, I'm responsible for equipping the members of the church staff and parish leaders with the resources they need to pursue our mission.
Ordained to the priesthood more than three decades ago, I served parishes in the Chicago suburbs and New Hampshire before accepting the call to St. Paul's in 2011. Throughout my years in ministry, I've engaged in significant learning opportunities in congregational development, culminating with earning a Doctor of Ministry degree from Seabury-Western Seminary in 2009. I've served on various diocesan and church boards and committees, including the Board of Directors of Bexley Seabury Seminary for which I was the Chair for two years.
I have been happily married to Stephanie since August 16, 1986. Together we enjoy dancing, theater, long walks, travel, a great meal with friends, and the beach. We have two adult children: Taylor (married to Nicole) and Eli. I am a passionate home baker and avid reader. As a longtime Cubs fan, I look forward each winter to the day pitchers and catchers report to Spring Training and the first pitch of Opening Day.
