Worshipping with Children
While children are welcome during any of our services, most families attend the 9 a.m. service during the program year.
Babies, with all their noises, are welcome throughout the service. There is also a staffed nursery in the building on the other side of the courtyard as an option for parents. Additionally there is a Parent-Child room next to the sanctuary if little ones need a break during the service or for a more private nursing environment.
Families generally arrive right at the start of the service or a little late. We don’t mind late-comers!
Greeters will hand you a bulletin that contains all that you need to know for the service.
All ages (even adults!) are invited to check out the worship tools on the left and right sides of the church. Pick out what tools will help you during the service. Children are welcome to revisit the shelves if they need to during the service.
Parents and children arrive to church in a variety of styles. Most kids show off their dresses and button downs. Some prefer coming in their princess dresses. Most parents dress in semi-casual—from dresses and slacks to jeans and tops. You are welcome to wear what makes you feel most comfortable.
